Pondering the Presence of God
If you find yourself in a place of discernment in your life, what might you learn from the mystery of Mary's call and acceptance? In St. Benedict's way of profound listening?
A one-day retreat that will explore ways for us to grow in awareness to God-with-Us
Richard Rohr, in his book, “What the Mystics Know”, wrote: “We cannot attain the presence of God because we’re already totally in the presence of God. What is absent is awareness.”
Two spiritual practices, Lectio Divina, and Visio Divina will be used to guide our day. Mary, Mother of Jesus, ‘heard’ God in the Annunciation. St. Benedict taught that the whole of the spiritual life is listening to God. He called it, "inclining the ear of the heart".
If you are looking for a day to rest and renew with a community of women in the midst of the busyness of the season, join us on the path of Mary and Benedict as they offer us a way of hearing and seeing God.
